71/2

For me beginning with the end in mind is the easiest habit of lifelong learning. The problem is that I sometimes stop when I know where I want to be instead of actually getting there.

The most difficult for me is remembering to play--to approach life with joy instead of apprehension. Maybe being a first child has doomed me to being too serious. I have promised myself to play here.

Hello.

I am looking forward to these 23 things and the many that will surely follow. I admit to conveniently avoiding learning what so many of you already know. I will probably need help and will ask when the need arises. By the way, does anyone know how my cell phone works?

Driving home in the dark, rain fracturing the light of on-coming cars, I contemplated the short-sightedness (!) of putting off picking up my new glasses. I could only pray that I did not encounter suicidal deer or other road-side disasters in waiting. And indeed, I didn't.
